We want every Majestic Cosme order to arrive safely and as expected. This Refund Policy explains when returns, refunds, exchanges, cancellations, and delivery-related deductions may apply.

1. Return Window

We have a 14-day return policy. This means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, unopened where applicable, with any original seals, labels, accessories, and packaging intact. You will also need the receipt, order number, or other proof of purchase.

2. Cosmetic and Hygiene Product Conditions

Because our products are skincare and cosmetic products, returns may be refused for hygiene and safety reasons if the item has been opened, used, damaged, contaminated, altered, or is no longer in resellable condition.

We reserve the right to reject a return or reduce the refund amount if returned products are missing components, damaged, used, opened, or returned in a condition different from how they were received, except where required by applicable law.

3. How to Request a Return

To start a return, contact us at majesticcosme@miraigroupjapan.com with your order number, name, email address used for the order, and the reason for the return request.

If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

4. Return Shipping Costs

Unless the product is defective, damaged on arrival, or the wrong item was sent, return shipping costs are generally the customer’s responsibility.

If we provide a prepaid return label, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from your refund unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed product issue.

5. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

Please inspect your order immediately after delivery. If the item is defective, damaged, leaking, missing, or if you received the wrong item, contact us as soon as possible at majesticcosme@miraigroupjapan.com.

Please include your order number and clear photos of the item, packaging, shipping label, and any damage or issue. We will review the case and make it right where the issue is confirmed.

6. Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for the following items unless required by law or unless the item is defective or incorrect:

  • Opened, used, or partially used skincare or cosmetic products;
  • Products with broken seals or damaged original packaging;
  • Items returned without prior approval;
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper storage, or customer handling;
  • Final sale items, clearance items, gift cards, or promotional gifts where marked as non-returnable;
  • Products that cannot be returned for hygiene, safety, or legal reasons.

7. Exchanges

The fastest way to receive a different item is to request a return for the original item, and once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the new item.

Exchanges are subject to product availability and return eligibility.

8. Refunds

We will notify you after we receive and inspect your return. If your refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method where possible.

Approved refunds are usually processed within 10 business days after approval. Please note that your bank, card issuer, PayPal, Stripe, Komoju, or other payment provider may require additional time to post the refund to your account.

9. Order Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee cancellation once an order has been processed, packed, shipped, or handed over to the carrier.

If cancellation is possible and payment has already been completed, we will process the refund through the original payment method where possible.

10. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If merchandise is shipped to the European Union, you may have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification, subject to applicable law.

Returned items must be in the same condition that you received them, unused, unopened where applicable, with any original seals, labels, accessories, and packaging intact. You will also need the receipt, order number, or proof of purchase.

Please note that certain sealed cosmetic or hygiene-related products may not be eligible for return after opening where applicable law allows such exclusions.

11. Unclaimed, Refused, or Undeliverable Packages

When an order is shipped, customers may receive a tracking number or tracking link where available. Customers are responsible for monitoring delivery updates, responding to delivery attempts, paying any applicable customs or import charges, and collecting the package within the carrier’s required period.

If a package is returned to us because it was unclaimed, refused, undeliverable, unpaid for customs or import duties, or because the customer failed to respond to the carrier or postal service, the customer may be responsible for all resulting costs.

These costs may include outbound shipping fees, return shipping fees, handling charges, customs fees, penalties, storage charges, carrier charges, and any other costs caused by the failed delivery.

In such cases, any approved refund may be reduced by the above costs. If the total costs exceed the refundable product amount, no refund may be available. Original shipping fees are generally non-refundable unless the failed delivery was caused by our error.

We ship internationally from Japan, and unclaimed international returns can create significant shipping and customs costs. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

12. Customs, Duties, and Import Fees

For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other local charges may be required by the destination country. Unless clearly stated at checkout, these charges are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the product or shipping price.

Refusal to pay customs duties, taxes, or import fees may cause the package to be returned, abandoned, delayed, or destroyed by the carrier or customs authority. In such cases, refunds may be reduced or refused depending on the costs and circumstances.
